Does losing hair every day mean I'm going bald?

The short answer: No, everyone loses hair every day. The average person loses about 100 hairs a day. And while that may sound like a lot, that same average person also has 100,000 strands of hair. This shedding is healthy too: Those hairs are meant to fall out and grow back.

That said, if you’re noticing hair loss in unusual patterns, a receding hairline, or thinning hair, you may be experiencing male pattern baldness.

If that's the case, you can get started by taking our quiz.
